Lake & River
Water is the heart of Heber Springs. Whether you're here to cast a line or just float the day away, you're in the right place.
Greers Ferry Lake
Greers Ferry Lake is the crown jewel of our area. With over 40,000 acres of clear water and miles of shoreline, it's a playground for boaters, swimmers, and anyone who just wants to relax by the water. Summer weekends are lively, with families picnicking, kids splashing, and boats cruising the lake.
If you're visiting for the day, there are several public access points and marinas where you can rent a boat or grab supplies. After a long day in the sun, there's nothing better than a cold drink and a hot plate of Mexican food.
The Little Red River
Below the Greers Ferry Dam flows the Little Red River, one of the premier trout fishing destinations in the United States. The cold, clear water released from the dam creates a perfect habitat for trout to thrive year-round.
Even if you're not a fisherman, the river is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon. There are parks along the bank where you can sit and watch the water roll by.
